he unique way The Folio Society is set up is what allows us to produce books of such high quality at a low price which astonishes the rest of the publishing word. The secret is our membership.
Because members commit to support the society by agreeing to buy new books each year, we are able to plan volumes accurately and keep costs low. In return we’re committed to providing excellent value as well as the highest quality to our membership.
Your choices
All you need do is choose any books from our yearly prospectus that is sent out to you. There's a huge range of titles but there are also new books and sets being published throughout the year not included in the prospectus. Our Limited Edition special programme provides yet more irresistible books that will leave you spoilt for choice and all count towards your membership.
Your Gifts
Good value doesn’t end once you’ve joined! Each year, as a thank you for renewing your membership, we like to give you a present. We specifically create a high quality presentation volume – greatly anticipated and enjoyed by long-standing members - as a gift and search out other offers we think you’ll appreciate.
A True Society
From the actual room dedicated to our members use in London to our soon to come online reading group where members can share their thoughts on our books, we exist as a true society of people who are brought together by our shared love for beautiful books.
News and Events
The Folio Society magazine and newsletters are sent out to all members, giving details of forthcoming books, events, competitions and launches that might be of interest, as well as a range of articles from well known writers and academics.
